Timothy Klink

Timothy Klink is the President and CEO of The Coastal Companies, a Cape Cod–based custom building and real estate development firm specializing in luxury residential construction and thoughtfully planned residential and commercial developments.
Tim is a custom builder, licensed Construction Supervisor, and licensed Real Estate Agent, giving him a rare, full-spectrum perspective on property—from acquisition and site planning to construction, marketing, and long-term value. He builds and develops high-end homes and projects throughout Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with a reputation for disciplined execution, clear decision-making, and enduring craftsmanship.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from West Virginia University, a background that distinctly sets him apart in the custom building and development space. His training as a landscape architect shapes how every project begins: with the land. Rather than treating site conditions as constraints, Tim evaluates topography, viewsheds, access, drainage, solar orientation, and natural features as opportunities to enhance both design and value.

This integrated approach to site design and planning allows Tim to position homes naturally within their environment, strengthen indoor–outdoor relationships, and maximize curb appeal, usability, and resale potential. His understanding of grading, circulation, outdoor living spaces, and long-term land performance is especially valuable in coastal and environmentally sensitive settings, where early planning decisions have lasting impact.

As a licensed Construction Supervisor, Tim brings hands-on technical knowledge and accountability to every build. As a licensed Real Estate Agent, he understands market dynamics, buyer expectations, and how design and construction choices translate directly to value. This combination allows him to guide clients and investors through projects with clarity—from initial feasibility and permitting through construction, marketing, and sale.

Through The Coastal Companies, Tim blends traditional building principles with modern execution and strategic real estate insight. His work reflects a commitment to quality, efficiency, and thoughtful development—creating properties that are not only beautiful, but well-sited, well-built, and well-positioned for the future.

Tim resides on Cape Cod with his wife and their dogs, remaining closely connected to the coastal communities and landscapes that inspire his work.

Brian Pothier

Brian brings a deep level of expertise across numerous areas of marketing and sales, including real estate sales management, licensing and contract negotiation, and strategic marketing. His career also includes leadership roles as a sales and operations manager in the publishing industry and marketing and sales management within the juvenile products industry.

Combined with decades of experience marketing and selling real estate on Cape Cod, Brian offers clients a rare depth of knowledge and practical insight.

Matt Leonard

Matt was born and raised in Connecticut and is the youngest of six children. After spending many years traveling the world and experiencing a wide range of cultures, he eventually made Cape Cod his permanent home in 1993. Having grown up summering on the Cape and building many lasting family memories there, settling full time felt like a natural step.
After a successful career in sales, Matt decided to pursue his passion for Cape Cod real estate, helping others find their own place in the community he loves.

When he’s not working, Matt enjoys gardening and caring for his chickens, ducks, and geese. He is also an avid supporter of WildCare Cape Cod and enjoys giving back to the local community.

Bernie Pothier

Bernie is the lead designer and stager for the team. She brings decades of experience in both residential and commercial design, along with an extensive career in the retail sales of furniture and home furnishings. Her background gives her a unique understanding of how thoughtful design and carefully selected pieces come together to create beautiful, functional spaces.

Bernie has a keen eye for detail and color, allowing her to craft interiors that feel cohesive, comfortable, and refined. She specializes in creating lifestyle-driven environments within the home—spaces that are both practical for everyday living and stylish enough to resonate with today’s bespoke homebuyers.
